I usually get into a relationship and after a while it seems like it things just don't work. we both get attached and say stupid things like “you’re my soul mate”. And then things end up going sour. Why do we use this word to describe how perfectly compatible one is to another? is it to make the other feel special? shouldn't they already feel that way? In fact, what is the deeper meaning to soul mate? Do we all have one? Or is it a silly little thing called destiny/fate. We often get them confused. But if you ever become a soul mate what does it mean? Is the definition so broad that we can make it up to be whatever WE want it to be for ourselves?
